The Keel-billed Toucan, also called a bill bird, is the national bird of Belize. Keel-billed toucans are found throughout Belize's forests and nest in holes in tree trunks. Toucans eat tropical forest fruits, insects, lizards, snakes and eggs of smaller birds. They lay one to four eggs and the parent birds take turns incubating the eggs. Toucans live from Southern Mexico to Northern Columbia and they can be seen along the Mayan Route.
